Tempura King Prawns with Chilli and Ginger Dipping Sauce

Dish type: Starter (or main in larger quantity with vegetable side dish)


Preheat a deep fat fryer to 190˚C.

To make the batter, sift all the dry ingredients into a bowl.

Add water mix slowly folding through with a whisk in an upwards motion to make sure it’s aerated.

Dip the prawns in to the batter and add to the hot oil to cook, the coating browns and crisps.

To make the dipping sauce, blitz all ingredients in a food processer pour in to a serving dish and serve alongside the prawns.
